Scharendijke plot not yet closed

The potatoes on the plot in Scharendijke grew well last week and are now in the 'bracket phase'. There are no tubers yet and the ridges are not yet closed.

Hardly any rain has fallen in Scharendijke this week; with 0,8 millimetres, the least rain fell on this plot (of all crop tour participants). The growth on the plot is comparable to the growth on the other plots in Schouwen-Duiveland.

Today (Friday 15 June) there will be spraying again. The crop is in good condition and there are no detectable diseases. In another plot a leaf with phytophthora was found. However, at the time when there were heavy showers in Zeeland, this plot had not yet been sprayed.
