Despite drought, vital crop in Bocholtz

The lot with Innovators, which is participating in the Boerenbusiness Crop tour in Bocholtz (South Limburg) is very vital despite the persistent drought. 

The crop appears to be getting slightly lighter in various places in the plot. That is a consequence of the drought† Yet another layer of leaves has grown and the tubers have become thicker again. The growth is therefore still in the crop. 

There is also sufficient moisture in the bottom layer. The crop on this plot is also deeply rooted, so that there is sufficient connection with the moisture in the bottom layer. Beginning of June there was a lot of precipitation. Foliar nutrition is given to keep the crop vital, and the flowers almost disappear.
