It's dry and warm on the potato plots that participate in the Boerenbusiness crop tour; also on the plot in Middenmeer. Due to drought, heat, water surpluses and/or a shortage of nitrogen, the potato can go into stress.
For the time being it has the plot with the variety Innovator in Middenmeer not yet suffering from stress, but from the drought. In the month of June, 14,7 millimeters of precipitation fell on this plot.
In addition, the field shows clear differences between the part that has been plowed and the part that has not been tilled. For example, the plowed area has a yellowish appearance, because the plants receive less nitrogen here.
Temperature
The height of the temperature has a major impact on the plant. Since June 1, the temperature has been above 3 degrees Celsius for only 25 days. For most of the time (19 days), the mercury remained between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius. The average temperature (since June 1) is 20,5 degrees Celsius.
