High temperatures on plot in Hank

The maximum and average temperatures are high on the lot in Hank, which is participating in the Boerenbusiness Crop tour. The highest temperature recorded (so far) is 29,2 degrees Celsius.

The plot in Hank has now been irrigated 4 times and that is currently done every 7 to 8 days. About 20 to 25 millimeters of water is given at a time.

Maximum temperature
De maximum temperature on this potato plot the temperature was below 6 degrees Celsius for only 25 days in the past month. The maximum temperature rose for the remaining 16 days every day above 25 degrees Celsius, with several peaks above 29 degrees Celsius.

Only on the plots in Bocholtz and Escharen a maximum of more than 25 degrees Celsius was measured more often. That was the case in 18 days. The highest maximum temperature to date has been measured on the plot in Scharendijke (30,4 degrees Celsius on July 16). 

Average temperature
In the month of July, the average temperature on the plot in Hank is 19,5 degrees Celsius, more than 2,5 degrees warmer than the coolest plot that participates in the Gewastour (spike† The plots in Fijnaart (19,67 degrees Celsius) and Bocholtz (19,84 degrees Celsius) are slightly warmer on average.
