The temperatures on the potato plots that participate in the Boerenbusiness Crop tour shows a slight increase compared to last week. What are the differences between the plots, and how do they relate to each other?
There was little rain last week. On the plot with Innovators in the John Kerkhoven Polder Last week the most precipitation (5,1 millimeters) fell. Earlier it appeared that there was a lot of spraying on the plots of the Gewastour, thanks to the growing weer.
It was relatively cool last weekend, with an average temperature of 17,5 degrees Celsius. However, after the weekend the temperature rose again, but the average over all plots did not exceed 20 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature was measured in the Johannes Kerkhovenpolder (29 degrees Celsius), followed by spike (27,6 degrees Celsius).
Lots of coarseness in Middenmeer
The Innovators on the plot in Middenmeer are very coarse. This is also visible in the photo, where the potato size indicates 50 millimeters. The tubers to the left of the size are larger than 65 millimeters. The maximum temperature on this plot has risen above 1 degrees Celsius for 25 days since 25 June.
The mercury even rose above 3 degrees Celsius for 30 days. This plot has now been irrigated 3 times, with 15 millimeters each time. The photo shows the number of tubers of 2 plants.

The potatoes in Middenmeer are very coarse, because the size indicates 50 millimeters.
Major differences in Biddinghuizen
Being on the plot in Biddinghuizen extreme differences to see. This is mainly due to the shifting of the plot boundary. The plot in Biddinghuizen will be harvested on Friday 14 September, during the harvesting demonstration of the AgroTechniek Holland.
On this plot with Innovators, the temperature rose above 39 degrees Celsius for 25 days. Of those, the mercury even rose above 7 degrees Celsius on 35 days, reaching 26 degrees Celsius on June 37,5. The photo below shows the number of tubers of 2 plants.

Many tubers in Fijnaart
The foliage of the Innovators on the plot in Fijnaart has slumped in a moderate way and the potatoes show considerable regrowth. The potato plot was sprayed with maleic hydrazide (MH) around 10 August. In addition, this plot has been irrigated 4 times.
On the plot in Fijnaart, a maximum temperature of above 1 degrees Celsius has been measured for 40 days since 25 June, with the mercury even exceeding 5 degrees Celsius for 30 days. The maximum temperature also rose for another 2 days at the end of June to 35 degrees Celsius. The photo below shows the number of tubers of 2 plants.

A lot of rain in Escharen
The Innovators on the plot in Escharen were irrigated a total of 7 times. During the test harvesting in week 31, it turned out that there were no potatoes in the size 65 millimeters upwards were.
Of all the plots participating in the Gewastour, the plot in Escharen had the most days with a maximum temperature of above 25 degrees Celsius. It was about 47 days. The photo below shows the number of tubers from 1 harvested plant.
