First plots will be planted soon

The Crop Tour plots in Escharen (East Brabant) and Fijnaart (West Brabant) are ready to be planted, but rain is forecast in the coming days, which again causes delays.

The potato plot in Escharen will be planted in the short term, although early varieties have already been planted in the area. Due to the expected rain, the planting of the Innovators will be delayed for a while. Manure has now been applied to this plot and green manure has been incorporated. The field is plowed as soon as the weather and soil permit. Then the potatoes can be planted.

Ground has been refurbished
The ground of the plot in Fijnaart was renovated enormously over the weekend. The plot is now ready for planting, but just like in Escharen, the expected rain is causing delays. If the precipitation is not too bad, the first potatoes will probably be planted early next week.

Good weather
For the remaining parcels of the Boerenbusiness Planting the potatoes does not yet play a major role in the crop tour. Most Crop Tour participants prefer to sow their crops before planting the potatoes in good weather.
