Now the tuberization on the potato plots that participate in the Boerenbusiness Crop tour is coming to an end, it's time to take stock. The differences between the plots are large, both at the bottom of the potato ridge and above. How many tubers and stems do Innovator have on the plots?
The crop of the growers of the Dutch Crop tour those who had planted the potatoes early are growing fast. Tuber setting has also been completed in the later plots, with striking numbers emerging. Potato grower Jacco van Liere in Dronten had sent a photo of a potato plant with 10 tubers on 17 June. Nine tubers can now be found on his crop tour plot under the plant with an average of four stems. To keep as many tubers alive as possible, he gave 25 millimeters last Saturday (June 15), on top of the 18 millimeters of precipitation that had already fallen.
If you look at the plots of most growers, you can see that there are on average ten tubers under a potato plant. Whether these tubers will make it all is impossible to say and is largely dependent on the weather.
