This year we see many differences among growers within their plots, mainly caused by the late spring. To quickly identify these differences, the new Performance map can be used.
Field Scout introduced an innovation this year, whereby the Performance Map (a summary of the biomass maps) of the current growing season is displayed up-to-date. Previously, only the Achievement Card from previous seasons was available.
With this new Performance Map you can see the growth of your crop at a glance. If you notice anything notable (such as in the example below, where a corner with manganese deficiency is shown), you can view the available underlying biomass maps to find out what happened and when the problem started. This enables you to quickly visit your plots. In the timeline, the Performance cards are conveniently grouped and you can also quickly look back to see if the previous season had better/lesser growth in the same place.
FieldScout uses the so-called Benchmark to objectively visualize the differences between plots in addition to differences within plots. The average amount of biomass and/or nitrogen of a plot is plotted against other plots in the account. You can easily select plots of the same crop or variety. In this way you can see whether the plot is ahead or behind in development compared to other plots. If you notice this in time, you can still adjust the cultivation if necessary.
In the example below, we see that the plot in question (green line) lags behind the average (blue line) in terms of biomass/foliage growth.
