In 2023, the new phytophthora strain EU46 emerged. Research by Syngenta in the laboratory showed that this strain is sensitive to mandipropamid, the active substance in REVUS® and PERGOVI®.
To test the sensitivity of a crop, Wageningen University (WUR) conducted a test. For this they used EU46 isolates from 2023, from various practice fields in the Netherlands. The potatoes were sprayed on May 28, and a solution containing traces of EU30 was sprayed on May 46. A different isolate was used per row, for a total of three isolates from different locations. These isolates all showed exactly the same picture.
The conclusion is simple and clear: the phytophthora strain EU46 is controlled by mandipropamid, the active substance in REVUS® and PERGOVI®.
