Agrifirm increases the gross advance to be paid out for the participants of the grain pool. The measure is intended to support the financial position of the growers. After delivery, €100 per tonne has already been paid out. €60 is now added to this.
In 2018, many companies incurred high costs (for example, for extensive irrigation), writes the cooperative. However, low yields also play a role. Grain prices are positive and the quality is very good. As a result, it now increases the gross advance.
After delivery, €100 per tonne was paid out to the participants of the grain pool for wheat and barley. This will be increased to €160 per tonne. The final settlement will follow at the beginning of June 2019. This also includes the quality evaluation.
Interest payment
Growers who participate in the pool without an advance will not receive this amount. On the final settlement they receive an interest of 3% on the unpaid advances. "This way, these participants can also benefit," says Agrifirm. Over the past harvest year, €3,10 per tonne was paid out as a premium. This year, that amount should be higher.
This year Agrifirm paid a price of €2017 per tonne for feed wheat and €152,90 for baking wheat for the 155,90 harvest. The price of summer brewing barley was €175 per tonne.
