Bid in September

RVB is full of leased land in the polders

2 May 2017 - Clarisse van der Woude

Farmers who want to lease more land can make an offer for agricultural land in Flevoland and the Wieringermeer in September. Then the Central Government Real Estate Agency will give out 1.400 hectares of land.

In 2016 there has been no public tender, because the Central Government Real Estate Agency (RVB) wanted to organize the issue more logically. The result is that the land portfolio will contain considerably more hectares this year. 'It concerns grossly 1.400 hectares,' says Frank Wassenaar, press officer of the RVB. 'If the assessment shows that there is too much soil-borne disease in a plot or if the structure is not good, the plots are removed.'

The price that rolls out is a fair market price

This largely concerns Flevoland soils. The idea that less land will be spent as a result of the expansion of Lelystad Airport does not seem to hold up. 'Nonsense indeed, that has nothing to do with it', says Wassenaar.

The lands are offered in blocks of 30 or 40 hectares on which interested parties can make an offer. This means that the RVB, despite the criticism from a certain quarter, is sticking to public registration. 'The House of Representatives has approved this method. The price that comes out is a fair market price.'

The grounds are offered through Pachtonline.nl.
