The leases for 2017 indicate lower prices for construction and grassland. The percentage decreases are between 4 and 23 percent. The lower prices come about for both arable farmers and dairy farmers, because the year 2010 has disappeared from the calculation. This is apparent from a letter from outgoing State Secretary Martijn van Dam.
In the southwest of Brabant, the regional standard drops from 816 euros per hectare to 781 euros per hectare. That is a minus of 4 percent and at the same time the smallest decrease. In the other areas, the declines are much greater. This is followed by areas with a lot of dairy farming.
The fact that lease prices in areas with predominantly dairy farming fall more quickly, is mainly due to the lesser year, namely 2015. This replaces the year 2010, which was significantly better in terms of yield. The central livestock area records a decrease of 16 percent, bringing the regional standard down from 756 to 633 euros per hectare.
IJsselmeer polders the most expensive
Despite the negatives in the livestock areas, the arable areas recorded the largest decline. The supplier here is the southwestern arable area. A depreciation of 23 percent results in the standard being EUR 513 per hectare. Only the standard for Waterland and Droogmakererijen is below this at 414 euros.
The land in the IJsselmeerpolders remains the most expensive, still an amount above 1.000 euros. Due to a decrease of 6 percent, the 1.118 euros from a year earlier go down to 1.049 euros.
