Useful in precision farming

Data on Dutch soil freely available

3 July 2017 - Bart-Jan van Zandwijk

The soil map of the Netherlands will be made available to everyone in July. By making this data public, everyone can see in detail how the soil is structured.

The soil map offers a lot of information about the soil. This can be used for targeted soil improvement or when selecting crops on the soil concerned. These soil data are also useful for all kinds of applications, such as (precision) agriculture, water management, spatial planning and landscape architecture.
