Members of Parliament Jan Middendorp and Helma Lodders (VVD) have put questions to Raymond Knops (State Secretary of the Interior) about the fact that the lease price adjustments had not been implemented. The role of the Central Government Real Estate Agency is also kept in the spotlight.
The written questions are asked in response to the message that the Central Government Real Estate Agency will send new lease bills† Due to a software error, the lease prices had not been adjusted based on the change percentages. This while the lease prices should have been adjusted negatively.
The MPs are curious whether it is true that a software error has led to this, and want to know how it came about. In doing so, they question the fact that this only became known in response to questions from the Association of Land Tenants and Own Land Users (BLHB).
Bad communication
The BLHB also indicated that the Central Government Real Estate Agency communicates poorly. The MPs of the VVD wonder why the Central Government Real Estate Agency has not communicated earlier and/or more actively about the software error. They therefore want the State Secretary to elaborate on the communication between the tenants and the Central Government Real Estate Agency.
They also find it strange that the bill is not clear and well-arranged. Lodders and Middendorp are therefore of the opinion that a specification of the various components should be made transparent when the lessee requests this. That is something the BLHB has asked for several times.
