Long-term lease relationships important

BLHB satisfied with Schouten soil strategy

25 May 2018 - Anne Jan Doorn - 1 reaction

The Association of Land Tenants and Own Land Users (BLHB) endorses the new soil strategy of Minister Carola Schouten (Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality). According to the BLHB, rent control is a logical consequence of the bottom strategy.

De soil strategy, which Schouten published on 23 May, aims to ensure that all soils are sustainably managed by 2030. The minister acknowledges that too intensive use of the soil is harmful. According to the BLHB, this recognition must be reflected in the lease policy.

According to the BLHB, now that there are clear principles for the policy, it should be possible to continue working on the revision of the lease policy in the short term. The BLHB is particularly pleased with the link between sustainable soil management and long-term lease relationships.

Spelderholt shot down
According to the BLHB, the final proposal is from Spelderholt no longer a realistic option in this policy. This is because, according to the final proposal, short-term leases are encouraged. According to the BLHB, these short-term leases result in intensive land use, which is recognized by the minister as harmful.

Long-term lease relationships are important, but the Central Government Real Estate Agency will again offer between 500 to 600 ha per free registration next autumn, I have heard it said. Let's now try to make a case for scaling up the smaller companies, as was the case in the past. here in the NOP there are still plenty of entrepreneurs who need to have a job to earn an income. Would be happy with some extra land and take good care of it. My father also started on 12 ha lease and we were able to expand it by then still the Domeinen. In the past, he also had to work outside the home to earn an income. Give the smaller farmer a chance per registration, but that doesn't work anyway. BLBH and LTO make you hard for it.
