The Central Government Real Estate Agency (RVB) advises tenants to pay the rent invoices before 1 June. This while these lease accounts have not been adjusted to the change percentages of 1 July 2017. The Association of Land Tenants and Own Land Users (BLHB) does not agree with the appeal of the RVB.
Because the lease prices have not been adjusted, farmers have to incorrect lease notes Pay. In the Southwestern arable area in particular, the non-adjusted lease bill means that a considerably higher amount has to be paid. This is because there is a big difference (23%) between the amount on the invoice and the amount owed.
Claims
If farmers do not pay the bill before 1 June 2018, recovery measures will follow, according to the RVB. The BLHB states that the rent must be paid on time, but only the rent owed. However, it is not easy, especially for farm tenants, to determine the correct amount. This is because the bill is not specified for land and buildings.
The RVB has not responded to the requests from the BLHB. The service would observe radio silence at the request of State Secretary Raymond Knops (Ministry of the Interior). The BLHB considers it inappropriate that despite this radio silence, recovery measures are threatened.
Overpaid
The BLHB also insists that the announced recovery actions must be stopped immediately. Those who have already paid the rent must get back the overpaid amount as soon as possible
