Parliamentary questions about incorrect lease notes

Helma Lodders and Jan Middendorp (VVD) have asked questions to Carola Schouten (Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality) and Raymond Knops (Internal Affairs). The questions concern the incorrect lease invoices that tenants have to pay, according to the Central Government Real Estate Agency.

The MPs especially want to know whether it is right that the tenants who wrong bills must pay. The Central Government Real Estate Agency reports that if tenants fail to pay those bills, they threaten to take recovery measures. The MPs are surprised because the rent standards have not been adjusted downwards for nothing.

Liquidity issues
The danger, according to the MPs, is that tenant farmers will run into liquidity problems. That is why Lodders and Middendorp want the announced recovery actions to be stopped. The tenants who have already paid the lease must also receive a refund of the excess paid,
