The province of Friesland is offering various plots of agricultural land on lease from Monday 7 January. In total, this concerns almost 450 hectares of land. The province announced this in a press release.
This mainly concerns land purchased by the province for provincial projects or programs and former BBL land. "We want to lease these lands publicly, transparently and in a sustainable manner," the province's press release states. That is why the lease price per hectare is fixed in advance.
Sustainability score is decisive
Potential tenants have the opportunity to distinguish themselves through a sustainability score. Points are awarded for each certificate that a tenderer can demonstrate. The more sustainability certificates (such as Skal, Skylark or Foqus planet), the more chance he has. Based on the height of the total score, it is determined who will be the tenant, provided that he also meets the registration conditions.
Interested parties can register via leasehold.frl† There you can also find the price, description, map and registration and usage conditions of the various objects.
