On Valentine's Day, the Senate will discuss phosphate

9 February 2017 - Redactie Boerenbusiness

The Senate was informed about developments in the field of phosphate. Mention the sector plan and the letter of 3 February and will continue to discuss the land-based dairy farming bills and the phosphate rights law on 14 February.

On Valentine's Day, the Senate will discuss the bills for the Land-Based Growth of Dairy Farming Act and the Introduction of the System of Phosphate Rights Act. This also includes the letter of 3 February, in which State Secretary Martijn van Dam explained how Brussels views the steps that the Netherlands is taking to reduce phosphate production.

Not only the letter of February 3 will be included, but the letter of February 6 will also be included in the committee meeting. This concerns the written consultation package of measures for phosphate reduction.

This brings the introduction of the system of phosphate rights once again closer.
