After a sharp increase in the run-up to the end of 2016, the milk price of Milcobel has to lose ground again in January. This one takes a small step back. What it does to the milk price compared to Dutch prices is explained in an analysis.
A first for the Belgian milk processor. Thanks to the increases, the milk price managed to outpace that of the Dutch processors. Translated to Dutch contents, 4,41 percent fat and 3,47 percent protein, it yielded a price of 38,73 euros per 100 kg of milk. This with an annual supply of 600.000 kg of milk.
The milk price will lose ground again in January. The fat price drops to 3,1386 euros per kg, against 5,8288 euros per kg for protein. As a result of the corrections, the standard price decreases by one euro to 33 euros. The milk price for an annual supply of 600.000 kg of milk, with 4,41 percent fat and 3,47 percent protein, amounts to 37,48 euros per 100 kg of milk.
Due to the decline, Cono again takes the lead in terms of milk price. Milcobel drops to second place, followed by Vreugdenhil and Bel Leerdammer.
