Cheesemaker Bel Leerdammer shifts the milk price sideways in March. Leerdammer does not change the prices for fat and protein, which means that the payment price remains low at 34 euros per 100 kilos. For the third month in a row.
Even though the cheese market leaves a bit to be desired in terms of pricing, Bel Leerdammer sees no reason to cut suppliers' payments.
This results in a stable price of 34,27 euros per 100 kilos of milk for March. This with an annual supply of 600.000 kg of milk with 4,41 percent fat and 3,47 percent protein. A delivery of 800.000 kg of milk yields 34,51 euros and 1,1 million kg of milk guarantees 34,70 euros per 100 kg of milk.
One year ago, Bel Leerdammer's milk price was still 26,37 per 100 kilos of milk. For the months of April and May, the European milk supply figures will probably largely determine how the cheese market and milk prices will move.

This means that a maximum premium of 3,10 euros can be earned. Per 100 kg of milk, 0,23 euros goes to ZuivelNL.
