Guarantee price unchanged again

For the third month in a row, the guaranteed price remains unchanged at 36 euros per 100 kilos of milk. The protein value has been set at 587,66 euros, the fat value at 293,83 euros and the lactose value at 58,77 euros per 100 kilos. Milk prices are expected to remain stable in May, but a plus is absolutely not excluded. 

This stable market price is in line with the current market picture for dairy. That one is a bit better. Normally May is a stable month, due to the peak in milk supply.

However, butter and cheese are becoming slightly more expensive. The demand for cheese is picking up and as a result prices are also slightly higher. This creates a good foundation for the milk market.

Correction
The price for the coming month has a correction of 0,40 euros. This is because the estimated milk prices for the number of reference companies were too low. The guaranteed price applies to 100 kilos of milk with 3,47 percent protein, 4,41 percent fat and 4,51 percent lactose and excludes VAT.

The amounts apply, as of 2017, to an average delivery of 800.000 kilos of milk per year. Previously this was 600.000 kilos of milk. As of 2017, the quantity surcharge and the seasonal scheme have also expired.

Price for organic milk is rising
The price for organic farm milk has increased by one compared to April. The guaranteed price for May is set at 48,00 euros per 100 kilos. This includes a correction of one euro. The price of organic milk for May is the highest since 2015.

In May, the protein value is 799,87 euros, the fat value is 399,93 euros and the lactose value is 79,99 euros per 100 kilos. The organic guaranteed price applies to 100 kilos of milk with 3,47 percent protein, 4,41 percent fat and 4,51 percent lactose and excludes VAT. The amounts stated apply to an average delivery of 600.000 kg of milk per year. As of 2017, the quantity surcharge has expired.
