Bel Leerdammer continues to beat the bank
Cheese maker Bel Leerdammer also managed to beat the bank in the first month of the new quarter. For the fourth month in a row, the processor manages to maintain the price above 34 euros.

For April, this results in a milk price of 600.000 euros per 34,27 kg of milk for an annual delivery of 100 kg of milk. This at 4,41 percent fat and 3,47 percent protein. A delivery of 800.000 kg of milk yields 34,51 euros and 1,1 million kg of milk is good for a milk price of 34,70 euros per 100 kg of milk.
Mood improves in cheese
During the month of April, the mood on the cheese market changed. After a few difficult months, hopeful sounds are now being heard again, pointing to higher cheese prices. Much will still depend on the extra liters of milk towards the peak in milk supply.
A sustainability bonus of up to 0,60 euros per 100 kg of milk and a grazing premium of 2,00 euros per 100 kg of milk can be earned at Leerdammer. The quality of milk is also rewarded with a premium of 0,50 euros per 100 kg of milk. This means that a maximum premium of 3,10 euros can be earned. Per 100 kg of milk, 0,23 euros goes to ZuivelNL.
