Again Arla comes with varying prices for different regions. For example, for the second month in a row, the price in the United Kingdom is moving differently than that of the members on the mainland. The milk price of June also closes the first half of 2017.
Arla keeps the milk price for both conventional and organic milk stable for June. This results in a price of 31,65 euros per 100 kilos of milk for Dutch suppliers. This is for milk with 4,20 percent fat and 3,40 percent protein.
At Arla, a grazing premium and an amount for quality and cells can still be earned.
Bad news for Brits
Compared to May's decline, June's stable price is good news. This time, however, things did not work out well for the British section. The milk price remained stable there a month earlier, but for June it will still be reduced by 4 pence per liter. This move prevented dairy farmers from having to endure the pain of a high seasonal levy and a milk price reduction.
First half of 2017 closed
The June outcome allows the balance sheet for the first half of 2017 to be drawn up. For example, the first quarter already recorded a profit of 3,50 euros, while the second quarter recorded a loss of 2 euros.
This will result in an increase of 2017 euros over the entire first half of 1,50. A year earlier this was a loss of 4,30 euros per 100 kilos of milk.
