Cheesemaker Vika from Ede comes into Swiss hands. The copper, fragrance and flavoring producer Gidauvan also already has locations in Belgium, Great Britain and New Zealand.

Vika produces cheese ingredients for savory applications such as biscuits, chips, sauces, pizza & pasta and ready meals. More than 200 employees use sustainable technologies and ingredients for the production of grated cheeses, cheese substitutes, processed cheeses and cheese powders.

Gidauvan wants to strengthen portfolio in natural dairy solutions

Gidauvan world leader
Gidauvan is the largest producer in the world and accounts for a quarter of the world market in the fragrance and flavoring industry. In the Netherlands it has Company a large branch in Naarden. With the acquisition of Vika, Gidauvan aims to strengthen its portfolio in natural dairy solutions.

Takeover amount unknown
No announcements have been made about the acquisition amount. Only that the annual turnover of Vika would be around €64 million. If the authorities approve the transaction, the purchase will be completed in the second half of 2017.
