The 900 dairy farmers who supply the dairy processor are once again benefiting from the good fat sentiment. The fat price will increase by € 0,10 per kilo to € 3,40 per kilo. This increase also includes the milk price. Farmers who still deliver 600.000 kilos per year will receive € 35 per 100 kilos of milk for the month of June. This includes quality premium. With a supply of 800.000 kilos of milk per year, Vreugdenhil pays € 35,27 per 100 kilos of milk. The prices mentioned are without grazing and sustainability premium and without remittance costs to ZuivelNL.

Fat driving force
The price increase is not an isolated incident. The price will be on the rise from February. Vreugdenhil says that since February the milk price paid by the dairy to their 900 dairy farmers has been increased by € 2,11 per 100 kilos of milk. The reason for the increase is mainly due to the ever increasing fat price. Compared to last year, the cream price is 3 times higher.

From September, Vreugdenhil charges the winter milk surcharge of € 3,90 per 100 kilos of milk.
