Bel Leerdammer stays ahead of FrieslandCampina

The dairy market is on the rise and this is reflected in the milk price of Bel Leerdammer. The dairy pays its dairy farmers more than FrieslandCampina did in July. This was not the case in March, April and May.

The fat price rose by 10 cents in July to €3,40 per kilo. Protein plus a quarter to €6.70 per kilo. The milk price, for an annual supply of 600.000 kilos, therefore amounts to €37,21 per 100 kilos. At 1,1 million milk per year, €37,63 is paid per 100 kilos.

In milk price comparator Bel Leerdammer had already surpassed FrieslandCampina in June and that lead will continue into July. On balance, Bel Leerdammer paid out €1,22 more than FrieslandCampina in July, with an annual delivery of 600.000 kilos.

Sustainability allowance
A sustainability bonus of up to €0,60 per 100 kilos of milk and a grazing premium of €2 per 100 kilos of milk can be earned at Leerdammer. The quality of milk is also rewarded with a premium of €0,50 per 100 kilos of milk. This means that a maximum premium of €3,10 can be earned. Per 100 kilos of milk, €0,23 goes to ZuivelNL.
