The milk price of Vreugdenhil writes a modest plus about July. That plus is smaller than with other dairy farmers. Nevertheless, the approximately 900 dairy farmers who supply Vreugdenhil see the price approaching €40 per 100 kilos.
Just like in June, Vreugdenhil has increased the fat price by €0,10 per kilo. This brings the price for July to €3,50 per kilo. The protein price remains stuck at €6,30 per kilo. With an annual supply of 600.000 kilos, the milk price is €35,21 per 100 kilos. This means that Vreugdenhil is currently last in the rankings milk price comparator. The prices quoted are without pasture and sustainability premium and without transfer costs to ZuivelNL.
Approaching winter surcharge
According to Vreugdenhil, the reason for the 'meager plus' is due to the approaching winter allowance. From September, the dairy will charge a winter milk surcharge of €3,90 per 100 kilos of milk. With that plus in mind, Vreugdenhil is also approaching €40 per 100 kilos.
