The court in The Hague again ruled in favor of approximately 16 dairy farmers on Wednesday 200 August. Like the other 200 claimants, they are provisionally exempt from the phosphate reduction scheme.
This group of dairy farmers can no longer be forced by the State to to cull cows† This until there is more clarity about the outcome of the appeal, which the State instituted as a result of the first lawsuit. That ruling is expected on September 18.

The judge did Wednesday for the third time ruling on the phosphate reduction scheme. Similar sentences were previously carried out on May 4 for approximately 50 dairy farmers and on 9 August for approximately 150 claimants.

The plaintiffs must a light touch which the State has developed and which is carried out by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency. This test must show whether the claimants are actually a bottleneck and therefore no longer come under the scheme. The judge has instructed the State that it must be clear within 2 weeks of the dairy farmer's application whether he is a bottleneck or not.
