The milk price of the Milcobel writes a plus for July, both in terms of fat and protein. The change means that the Belgian dairy processor remains the frontrunner in the milk price comparator. The dairy manufacturer speaks of a remarkable dairy market.
Milcobel's milk price is up for the third month in a row. The payout price on fat increases by just €0,10 to €3,23 per kilo. Protein increases by about €0,18 to €6,54 per kilo. In Belgium this results in a milk price of €37,10 per 100 kilos.
Converted to Dutch values, the milk price, with an annual supply of 600.000 kilos and milk with 4,41% fat and 3,47% protein, amounts to €38,54 per 100 kilos. In the milk price comparator This keeps Milcobel proudly in the lead.
Thanks to cream and cheese
According to Milcobel, the plus in July is due to a very good 'valorisation' of cheese and cream. On the other hand, the price of whole milk powder is under pressure due to better production in New Zealand. The wedge between fat and protein has now become remarkably large, as Milcobel describes the market situation.
