Zuivelcoöperatie FrieslandCampina has sold Riedel to the Dutch investor Standard Investment. The dairy manufacturer will announce this on Thursday 17 August. FrieslandCampina expects to complete the deal this year.
FrieslandCampina examined in February all the possibilities for the sale of Riedel. The soft drink company is best known for brands such as Taksi, Appelsientje and CoolBest. Roelof Joosten, CEO of FrieslandCampina: "Riedel does not fit in with our new strategy, because we want to pay more attention to our dairy products."
Financial details of the sale have not yet been disclosed.
