22 August 2017 - Bart-Jan van Zandwijk

Milk production in Iran is expected to exceed 21 million tons by March 2018, 10. Hassan Rokni, Deputy Minister of Agriculture in Iran, reported this on Tuesday, August 22.

Exports also increased
The export of dairy products has also recorded good figures from 21 March 2017. In that period, 404.000 tons of dairy products were exported to 30 countries. The Iranian minister expects 21 million tons of dairy products to be exported this season (until March 2018, 1).

Iran still has chances
The Iranian animal feed industry has the ability to produce 18 to 19 million tons. However, only 10 million of this is actually realized. The Iranian market therefore still has a lot of opportunities here.
