25 September 2017 - Bart-Jan van Zandwijk

About two-thirds of dairy farmers want insight into the exact composition of the compound feed supplied. This is shown by a study by agricultural market research agency Geelen Consultancy from Wageningen.

The market research agency conducted the survey among 921 dairy farmers on behalf of VoederWaarde.nl. Dairy farmers attach great importance to control and transparency in the field of feed value, according to the study's conclusion.

The dairy farmers believe that feeding the correct feed values is becoming increasingly important for a correct mineral balance. In addition, about two-thirds of the respondents indicate that it is important to be able to view the exact composition on request.

The research also shows that about 80% of the respondents indicate that the supplied nutritional value is important for achieving good results. In addition, approximately three quarters believe that independent control of the relevant feed values is important.
