FrieslandCampina gets stuck in second place

European milk prices will continue to improve in October. It's a small plus (compared to September), but it's still a plus. FrieslandCampina is one of the processors where the price is improving. What does it do with the top 10 of the LTO milk price comparison?

The average milk price for October is €36,86 per 100 kilos (with 4,2% fat and 3,4% protein). This includes an annual production of 500.000 kilos per year. The average milk price shows a plus of €0,12. For the rest of the year it looks like only Dairy Crest will increase.

Changes within top 10
Within the top 10, a few changes are seen. For example, the milk price of Milcobel has taken a step back. In contrast, the majority of milk prices recorded an increase. Granarolo (€40,71) remains in first place, FrieslandCampina (€40,61) follows with second place and DMK comes in third with a price of €39,84. Milcobel drops by a reduction of €2 back to €36,01 and comes in 8th place.   

Outside the European Union, the results are slightly different. For example, the milk price of the Swiss Emmi increases to €52,61 per 100 kilos. Hochwald is also still among this group of processors and writes €36,14, a plus of almost €1 compared to a month earlier. In the United States, the price is €35,90. Fonterra is the last with €33.
