The first phosphate rights were auctioned on Tuesday 9 January. The offer was made by several bidders. That reports Interfarms Makelaars.
This makes the first phosphate auction of 'Production Rights Auctions' a fact. The first 200 kilos were auctioned for an amount of €187 per right. There were a total of 21 bidders.

The second auction was scheduled for January 10 at 12:00 noon. "We expect approximately the same number of bids for the same price. The price may rise slightly," says Richard Roddenhof, emigration coordinator at Interfarms.
The auction of January 10 has now also been closed (with an extension of 11 minutes). The auction started at €125 and has risen to €186 per kilo of phosphate, where the price has remained at.
The next auction closes on Thursday, January 11 at 12:00 noon.
