High-yielding dairy farm

Vietnamese TH Group opens dairy farm in Russia

6 February 2018 - Kimberly Bakker - 6 comments

Vietnamese dairy producer TH Group recently opened the first high-yield dairy farm in Russia. The company is located in the Volokolamsk district (which falls under Moscow).

The dairy farm received its first 3 Holstein-Friesian cows, imported from the United States, on January 1.100. It is expected that 11 to 12 tons of milk per cow will be produced, which means that the dairy farm can currently produce 30 tons of milk per day.

500

million

dollars is the cost of the investment

The Vietnamese company has invested $500 million in the company. It will cover more than 50.000 hectares and house approximately 45.000 cows. When fully operational, production is expected to reach 234.000 tons of milk per year.

Multiple investments
Besides the above project, TH Group is also building a dairy farm in Kaluga state. The Vietnamese company hopes to open this business in the first quarter of 2018. In addition, the company also signed investment agreements in the state of Tyumen and the Republic of Bashkortostan. It is also preparing for a new project in the Russian Far East.

According to figures from the National Supreme Producers Union, in 2016 there were about 8,25 million dairy cows in Russia, good for 30,7 million tons of fresh milk. However, the country still had to import approximately 7,2 million tons of milk and is still struggling with a shortage of milk.

500 Ha and 450 cows + buildings for € 5 million is not much.
500 Ha in the Netherlands = € 2 500 000,--
450 cows in the Netherlands 500 000,--
new stable in the Netherlands 2500000,--
dairy/robot + tank € 600 000,--
minimum in the Netherlands € 6 000000,--

Would like to know what Hans has studied. Don't understand anything at all
kalf 7 February 2018
Well guys, you can be a lot of bullshit about this, but the fact remains that the Netherlands can no longer compete on cost price. The cost price per liter here is by far the highest. Too high.
hans 7 February 2018
Piet, disprove my statement with reason, or don't interfere.
Pete 8 February 2018
Hans toilet paper is certainly worth less printed or not what a chat you sell. By the way, not the first time!
