The milk prices of DOC Kaas and DMK are up again in June. It is the first increase since September. With the increase, the cheese maker underlines the more positive sentiment in the market.
DMK will put an end to the stable trend in the milk price in June; it goes up. For example, the fat value increases from €2,83 per kilo to €2,93 per kilo and protein increases from €5,67 to €5,85 per kilo.
Milk price rises
The pluses translate (for a delivery of 600.000 kilos of milk) into a milk price of €32,84 per 100 kilos (at 4,41% fat and 3,47% protein). It is a plus of €1,07. An annual supply of 900.000 kilos of milk guarantees €33,25 per 100 kilos and 1,1 million kilos of milk yields €33,42.
The milk price for June also closes the first half of 2018. With an annual production of 600.000 kilos, the average milk price is €32,64 per 100 kilos, a decrease of 1,6% compared to 2017. Dairy farmers owe the fact that the average is not lower to the relatively high start to the year.
Levies and premiums
At DOC Cheese a sustainability bonus of €0,90 per 100 kilos can be earned. From 2017 there is a separate grazing allowance, which can amount to €1,75 per 100 kilos.It is the first increase since September 2017.
