The feed market shows few movements, and this certainly applies to the price of straw. This has been at €160 per tonne free of charge for a number of weeks and will be there again this week no change in. Most livestock farmers are self-sufficient until the new harvest.

New harvest of meadow hay is coming
In the meadow hay trade, livestock farmers in the Netherlands are also waiting for the new harvest, which means there is little demand for the old product. It also ensures that the price for old harvest drops to €180 per tonne, delivered to the farm. This could fall further in the coming weeks.

Some traders indicate that they already new harvest have brought in. This is earlier than normal, because the harvest usually only starts in mid-June. "If the weather is good, we can still bring in quite a bit in the near future," said a forage trader. The first prices for the new harvest are between €110 and €130 per ton, free of charge.

The market for perennial ryegrass is still in negative sentiment at the moment. There is little product, but there is also little demand. This means that the price cannot move in any direction, keeping it stable at €130 per tonne, free of charge. The trade in silage is also quiet, which means that the price remains stable (€50 per tonne, delivered to the farm).

Beer spent grain suffers from posture
Not every product escapes the livestock farmer's wait-and-see attitude unscathed. In trade to brewer's grain It is clearly noticeable that there is less demand, which has caused the price to drop sharply since last week. A decrease is also visible this week, bringing the price to €1,80 per percent dry matter.

The trade in silage corn would show slightly more demand. However, this varies greatly by region; one trader reports more demand, while another sees very little demand. This means that the price remains at €53 per tonne, free of charge.

Feed potatoes still under pressure
The price of feed potatoes is still under pressure. This is because the supply of feed potatoes is not decreasing and there is also no improvement in quality. This means that the price this week remains at €22,50 per tonne, free of charge.

Red fescue, tall fescue and meadow meadow are sold out, which means that the price for these products remains at €170, €150 and €150 per tonne, free of charge, respectively.
