While other dairy processors have slightly increased the milk price for June, Cono Kaasmakers is keeping the milk price the same. This means that the milk price is still competitive.
The cheesemaker, which has Beemster (North Holland) as its base, uses a fat price of €3,02 per kilo for June. The protein price remains at €6,03 per kilo. With an annual supply of 800.000 kilos of milk (at 4,41% fat and 3,47% protein), this results in a milk price of €34,10. This includes a levy for ZuivelNL and a quality surcharge, but excludes VAT. This means Cono is still at the top of the rankings milk price comparison.
Compared to the same month in 2017, Cono's milk price is about €2 per 100 kilos lower. Then in June the starting signal was given for the rise in the milk price, which eventually rose above €40 per 100 kilos.
Premium on the milk
At Cono, dairy farmers have the opportunity to earn a bonus of €2 through the grazing premium. €0,75 can also be earned with Caring Dairy and €1 can be earned by participating in GM-free milk, also known as VLOG milk.
Cono's milk price remains stable again at €34,10 per 100 kilos of milk.
