Bare milk price DOC Cheese through the 35 euros
The milk price of DOC Kaas increased for the third month in a row in August. The cheesemaker cooperative is thus surpassing FrieslandCampina.

Where FrieslandCampina announced this week that it would not increase the milk price for August, DOC Kaas sees room for this. For example, the fat price will increase by €0,09 to €3,11 per kilo. The price of protein increases by €0,19 to €6,22 per kilo. The cheesemaker speaks of a stable market with a positive undertone.
With an annual supply of 800.000 kilos of milk (at 4,41% fat and 3,47% protein), this results in a milk price of €35,21 per 100 kilos. In the milk price comparison DOC Kaas thus surpasses FrieslandCampina for the first time this year.
Levies and premiums
At DOC Cheese a sustainability bonus of €0,90 per 100 kilos can be earned. From 2017 there is a separate grazing allowance, which can amount to €1,75 per 100 kilos.
The cheese price has shown a positive picture in recent months.
