While the guaranteed price of FrieslandCampina continues to increase in October, DOC Kaas keeps the milk price the same. The fat price remains at €3,154 per kilo and protein is valued at €6,308 per kilo.
With an annual supply of 800.000 kilos, this results in a milk price of €35,70 per 100 kilos. In the milk price comparison FrieslandCampina thus distances itself further from the cheese maker from Hoogeveen.
Cheese market situation
The stable milk price of DOC Cheese corresponds with expectations on the cheese market. The market is hearing that pressure is slowly building up, partly as a result of the falling butter price. This is also in line with the past, because the cheese price (Gouda 45) usually shows a decline in the fourth quarter.
