The milk price of A-ware shows a decrease for the month of November. In addition, Cono Kaasmakers and Bel Leerdammer let it be known that they are still keeping the milk price stable for the month of October.
A-ware's milk price for November will decrease by €1,50 to €35,60 per 100 kilos (based on 4,41% fat, 3,47% protein and an annual supply of 1,1 million kilos). The reduction is a result of the decrease in the protein price, which drops by €0,43 to €5,35 per kilo. The fat price remains the same at €3,47 per kilo.
Just like A-ware also reduced FrieslandCampina the guaranteed price for the month of November. The milk prices of DOC Cheese en Arla remained stable for that month.
Dutch butter price remarkably low
The reduction comes based on recent price drops of various dairy products (cream and... boter), doesn't fall out of the sky. What is striking is that the Dutch butter price is well below the European average. The average is €490 per 100 kilos (week 39).
The butter price in Ireland is among the leaders (€531); the Dutch butter price (€430) is at the bottom of the list. The difference is more than €100 per 100 kilos, although there are often outliers in a declining market.
