FrieslandCampina will supply its knowledge, member milk and recipes during the agreement. The idea is that the dairy cooperative will market the cheese itself. DMK will provide the production facilities and expertise in the agreement. To do this optimally, DMK has decided to modernize and expand its location in Georgsmarienhütte (Germany).

The collaboration also fits in with DMK's strategy, the company reports. “It's part of our raw milk plan. We want that milk to come from a variety of sources. First, we process our members' milk and market our products. Second, we process milk in the framework of a production agreement, such as with FrieslandCampina. In this way we obtain a position that allows us to make maximum use of our factory structure," explains Ingo Müller, CEO of the DMK Group.

The 2 companies have not shared any further information about the specifics of the contract.
