Skimmed milk powder in the plus again

The price of skimmed milk powder continues its upward trend for a while. The ZuivelNL quotation will increase in the first week of 2019 from €6 to €179 per 100 kilos.

The price of skimmed milk powder opens €40 higher than in the first week of 2018 and has been on the rise since the fourth quarter. The intervention stock has shrunk considerably in the last months of 2018, which is fueling optimism. Although it is not certain whether the increase can also be continued in the coming weeks.

Butter price remains the same
The price of skimmed milk powder, which concerns the quality of animal feed, also opened the new year higher and rose by €4 to €155 per 100 kilos. The price of whey powder increases by €1 to €79 per 100 kilos. In contrast, the quotations for butter and whole milk powder remain at €414 and €273 per 100 kilos respectively.
