Following FrieslandCampina, Doc Kaas and Arla, A-Ware has also reduced the milk price for January. At Bel Leerdammer, the milk price for December remains the same; Cono does lower the payout price for that month.
The fat price at A-ware for January remains at €3,47 per kilo, while the price for protein has been reduced by €0,29 and amounts to €5,06 per kilo. With an annual supply of 800.000 kilos, the price is €32,31 per 100 kilos (including a quality premium of €0,50 per 100 kilos). In addition, dairy farmers can also earn a sustainability premium of €0,50 per 100 kilos.
The milk price of A-ware has been reduced by €1, which means that the change is equal to that of FrieslandCampina's guaranteed price for January.
Winter allowance disappears
Cono and Bel Leerdammer have also announced the milk prices, albeit for December. Cono's milk price is the most striking. Although the cheesemaker has increased both the fat (+€0,10 to €3,25 per kilo) and protein price (+€0,23 to €7,18 per kilo), the milk price is still falling at the bottom of the line.
This is because the winter surcharge (€3,25 per 100 kilos) no longer applies from December. With an annual supply of 800.000 kilos, the milk price drops by €2,01 to €35,55 per 100 kilos. This includes a quality surcharge of €2 per 100 kilos.
Call Leerdammer stable
With an annual supply of 800.000 kilos, the milk price of Bel Leerdammer amounts to €35,13 per 100 kilos, with the fat and protein prices remaining stable at €3,15 and €6,45 per kilo respectively. This includes a quality surcharge of €0,50 per 100 kilos.
