although it still calm is in the feed trade, several traders report that there is slightly more demand for straw. It is striking, however, that others indicate that there is actually less demand. As a result, the price is in the middle, which means that it will remain at €140 per tonne franco farm.

It is emphasized, however, that prices in the north of the Netherlands can be somewhat higher, due to a greater transport distance. Traders also report that the supply is increasing slightly, because France and England are again selling more; rather they held the product tightly.

Stable and calm markets
However, the straw market seems to be the only active market. It is otherwise very quiet, so there are again no price movements this week. The price for meadow hay remains at €240 per tonne free on farm and the price for silage maize is €65 per tonne free on farm.

For red fescue, reed fescue and meadow meadow, €170, €170 and €155 per tonne free farm is paid respectively and the price for silage grass remains stable this week at €50 per tonne free farm. In addition, the price for perennial ryegrass remains at €160 per tonne free from the farm and brewer's grain is sold for €2,65 per percent dry matter.

The trade in potato products is still minimal. The price of the potato press fibers has recently been set at €44 per tonne and the trade in feed potatoes (especially glass potatoes) is still close to €35 per tonne free at the farm.

Get going
Forage traders indicate that the market needs at least another month to get going again. It is therefore expected that there will not be much change in the coming weeks.
