Advance milk price for now below 2017 level

If the monthly milk prices and the expectation of the prices in December are assumed, the average advance milk price for 2018 will be €33,93 per 100 kilos. This is roughly the same as for the years 2013 to 2017. It should be noted here that this concerns the advance milk price, in which no supplementary payments have been processed. The final milk prices will not be published until June 2019.

Most milk prices have fallen
The table below shows that the average advance milk price decreased by 2018% in 3,6, compared to 2017. The largest decrease was for Royal A-ware, which achieved a milk price of €2018 in 34,68. That is 8,9% lower than in 2017. The other Dutch processor (FrieslandCampina) arrives at a milk price of €2018 for 35,48, which is 5% lower than in 2017.

The Belgian Milcobel and the German Müller also show significant price decreases; for example, the price of Milcobel fell by 8,3% to €32,57 per 100 kilos and the milk price of Müller fell by 8,5% to €32,34. However, not all milk prices show a decline. With the exception of Savencia (-0,70% to €33,69), all French milk prices have increased; the largest increase was for Sodiaal (+1,7% to €34,71).
