Arla invests millions in innovation center

14 January 2019 - Tim Roetman

Arla Foods says it is investing more than €36 million in setting up an innovation center where the products are developed and improved. The idea stems from Arla's new vision, in which it says it wants to become one of the leaders in innovation.

"The innovation center must become the source of all developments in technology, product development and changes in the expression of the company (such as packaging)", the dairy company said in a press release. It should also provide a competitive advantage.

Vision of the future
Arla also wants to develop new ways of processing dairy, with which it hopes to respond to new and growing markets. Earlier, the dairy company also indicated that it wants to get more than half of its growth from innovation. Arla has appointed Lars Dalsgaard to lead the innovation center.
