Lodders wants an answer about a malfunction at RVO.nl

22 January 2019 - Wouter Baan - 1 reaction

Helma Lodders, Member of Parliament at the VVD, wants clarification about errors in the software system of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO.nl). It concerns the system for registering for derogation.

Lodders has received signals showing that dairy farmers are encountering various problems when registering for derogation for broader fertilizer standards on grassland. Since RVO.nl has not responded, she has now put parliamentary questions to Minister Carola Schouten (Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality).

Time is running out
Lodders wants to know from Schouten whether the signals are correct and how long these problems have been going on. She also wants to get an indication when this problem will be solved. Dairy farmers can register until January 31, which means that time is running out. Lodders also wants to know why an official statement from RVO.nl about the problem.

A spokesperson for RVO.nl says he is aware of the problem, but can say little more about it. However, the spokesperson emphasizes that a solution is being worked on.

Red tape
Lodders also asks questions about the legal costs associated with this application. These costs cannot be paid via a one-off direct debit, which leads to administrative hassle. Lodders therefore wants to know from Schouten whether this could not be simpler.

Officially, Schouten has 3 weeks to answer the questions. However, by then it will be February and the registration deadline has already passed. That is why she asks Schouten to provide answers before Friday 25 January at the latest, so that the dairy farmers still have time to anticipate.
