Price fighters for animal feed join forces

20 February 2019 - Tim Roetman

MijnVoer.nl and CheapFeed.com, which is part of Duynie, will announce their cooperation on Wednesday 20 February. The online feeding platforms report that they are a perfect match.

MyFeed specializes in compound feed, while CheapFeed focuses on roughage, loose raw materials and by-products. Livestock farmers can purchase their own feed via the digital platforms, which is then produced by third parties.

Synergy effect
Pieter Snoeijen, the owner of MijnVoer, indicates that the platform has a market share of 3% to 4% in the compound feed market for cattle and pigs. "We had been looking for a partner for some time to professionalize and internationalize the company. We ended up at CheapFeed."

Snoeijen speaks of a double blow. "Their offer is complementary to that of MijnVoer. With this collaboration we can offer all types of feed on our website." The sites will be merged and will continue from MijnVoer.nl. Within 3 to 6 months, work must be done from 1 platform.
